Juniors

Winners of the Scottish Club Aquathlon Series 2015, 2014, 2013, 2012, 2011 and 2010.

Our junior section is currently the most successful in Scotland. The importance of juniors to the sport in Scotland is unquestionable and we currently offer one of the best junior set ups in the country. Plus it's also fun, friendly and fast, Fusion's Junior sessions will introduce kids to triathlon and develop comprehensive skills and athletic ability.

Training

Training takes place at Bellahouston every Sunday. Sessions run from 8am to 11am. They include an hour in the pool followed by 1 hour 45 of mixed biking and running. All biking and running takes place around the park paths and velodrome to ensure the safety of the athletes. Bellahouston Leisure Centre, Glasgow. There is also a further training session on a Wednesday evening from 4:45pm to 7pm at Bellahouston that requires to be pre-booked in advance.

Racing

There are a number of races organised for Juniors in Scotland. Fusion will be hosting  an aquathlon (swim and run), and we have also been awarded the 2016 Scottish Tristar and Youth Triathlon Championships. See the races section for the target races for the year and the calendar for more details.

Cost

Juniors can join the club for only £20 and each session costs £8 for members. For 3 hours coached and supervised training- bargain!!

How to Join

If you are a prospective new member of the club, then we promise you high-quality coaching at all times.  In practice, this is only possible with a broadly similar range of abilities and commitment among our athletes.  So to allow us to keep our promise and to make sure you are happy in the club, we would like to meet you first before promoting you to full club membership.

Please register via this link, and we will review your application. The date of the next trial session will be detailed within: http://www.entrycentral.com/fusion-triathlon-juniors

By completing the entry form, you book a place at the next trial for new members. We would ask that you make this trial session your first session with the club.  If that sounds scary, don't worry, because we'll make it fun -- like all our training sessions!  Also it is no problem if you are new to triathlon:  We only ask that you are able to swim four lengths of front crawl with your face in the water and that you have a helmet and bike in good working order.  With the approval of our lead coaches, you then become a full club member for the year and can continue to attend training sessions.  You only actually pay your membership fee when you become a full member.
